Local Therapy Source was founded by two Occupational Therapists in Austin, Texas.

The Directory is a comprehensive therapy provider and vendor directory that is categorized by location and specialty/setting.

The Referral Generator is a quick way for a referral source (doctors, patients, case managers) to send referral leads to providers, even if the patient's needs are out of your area.

Connect is an online social network for therapists and patients to create their own profiles and walls, make friends and communicate about therapy related topics in the Forum.

Jobs is an affordable therapy job board. It's free for therapists to use and employers of any size can afford to post their staffing needs.

The founders of Local Therapy Source saw a need to take the mystery out of taking charge of one's therapy needs. They wanted to create a niche directory of rehabilitation specialists so consumers and those involved in their care could easily identify and narrow down the search for their perfect therapy provider.

This site also allows smaller companies to compete for referrals and qualified clinicians on the same level as larger companies, while improving their web presence.

Social networking was added to allow therapists and patients to connect in an area separate from their personal networking profiles. Therapists can collaborate and find information specific to therapy and patients can create support groups as well as participate in forums.
